Wei Chen

Wei founded Sunshine Enterprise, Inc. after he earned his International MBA degree at the University of Memphis in August 1998. He has grown the company from one man operation to 400 employees in less than 8 years through organic growth. He has been active in all aspects of the company’s day-to-day operations and focusing on strategic planning on the company’s exponential growth. He was named as Top Executive of the Year by Business Tennessee magazine in 2006 and Top 40 under 40 by Memphis Business Journal in 2008. He won the award for Executive of the Year by Memphis Business Journal in 2007 and Entrepreneur of Year award by FCBE at the University of Memphis in 2008. The company was also ranked Fast 50 companies in Tennessee in 2005 and Number 1309 fastest growing company in the US by Inc. Magazine.

Mr. Chen is a member at Young President’s Organization and Economic Club of Memphis. He serves as Advisory Board member for Fogelman College of Business and Economics and Metropolitan Bank. He is also the Board member for International MBA Club at the University of Memphis and Greater Memphis United Chinese Association. Wei’s hobbies include Golfing, Flying, and Hunting.

John Chen

John Chen

John helped Sunshine Enterprise, Inc. start the operation in 1998 at the early stage. After he earned B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Memphis, he joined Memphis Light, Gas, and Water and worked through ranks for six years and was in charge of $10 million annual purchase and maintenance contract on computer hardware and software. He joined Sunshine again as Chief Operation Officer in 2004 and is in charge of company’s day-to-day operation and its e-commerce activities and online store: www.gostepup.com. His extensive computer background has enabled the whole organization running seamlessly. In addition, his in-depth understanding on both cultures has played impeccable role to manage the company operation smoothly in both sides of ocean. John is a member of Leadership Memphis and serves as the Treasurer at the Board of Greater Memphis United Chinese Association. He also serves as a Director on the Board of Sunshine Enterprise, Inc. and Board of Suntrepot International, LLC.

Charles Donaldson

Vice President – Business Development

Charles Donaldson

As Vice President at Sunshine Enterprise, Inc., Charles has been active in all aspects of managing the company’s national sales and distribution network. He also works closely with CEO: Mr. Wei Chen, to manage large accounts and identify new opportunities for the company’s continuous growth. Prior to Sunshine Enterprise, Charles has served U.S. Navy for 4 years and managed a high-scale restaurant for 12 years. He entered the scaffold industry in 1998 and started as a manager for a swing stage rental operation for Hi-Lo Climber. He joined Stepup Scaffold as a branch manager in 2003 then was promoted to National Sales Manager shortly after. With his distinguished contribution to the company’s growth, he was promoted to Vice President in 2005. He serves on the Board of Sunshine Enterprise, Inc since 2003.

Chris Caldwell

Chris Caldwell

Chris is a highly experienced operation manager and the driving force for the growth of Outsourcing opportunities. Prior to Sunshine Enterprise, Chris has worked as Store Manager, Regional Manager, and Director of Operation for Value Financial Services, a national chain of pawn shops, and helped the company grow from 4 stores to 80 stores with 500 employees in 7 years and reached annual revenue of $20 million. Chris joined Sunshine Enterprise as a salesperson for outsourcing opportunities in 2004. His extensive operation experience has helped the company manage its exponential growth in human resource and was promoted to Operation Manager in 2005 then Vice President shortly after. He has helped many companies develop new products and source existing products with a significant cost saving by utilizing the company’s infrastructure and foundation in the US and China. He attended Shelby State Community College on a basketball scholarship. He serves on the Board of Sunshine Enterprise, Inc. since 2004.

Jeremy Gillespie

Vice President at Stepup Caster, LLC

Jeremy Gillespie

Jeremy is a well knowledgeable and highly experienced manager to drive the growth of Stepup Caster business. He was introduced to the caster business when he was 12 years old by attending the material handling tradeshows in various cities with his father.  Prior to Sunshine Enterprise, he worked as an assembly worker and salesperson for The Caster Store in Birmingham, AL. He joined Stepup Caster in 2004 at a ground floor opportunity and set up the warehouse and caster assembly operation, then was promoted to sales manager shortly after. With his distinguished contribution to the company’s growth, he was promoted to Vice President in 2005. He has brought 100% growth to Stepup Caster division in 2006 and established distributors in 25 states. He earned his B.A. in Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising at Arkansas State University. He serves on the board of Sunshine Enterprise, Inc. since 2005.
